Join us for a free screening and panel discussion of the documentary We Bear Witness: African American Legacy of Hadley Township, Mo. Hadley Township is a historically Black community founded in 1907 and once home to notable figures such as Henry Hampton and Arthur Ashe, as well as local artist and filmmaker Margie Hollins. Hollins’s film examines the history of Hadley Township and the forces that led to its transformation and decline. Following the screening, a panel featuring the director, historians, and former residents will provide additional context and insight into the community’s legacy.
