The Trials of Muhammad Ali Screening

The Trials of Muhammad Ali (2013), directed by Bill Siegel, is a compelling Kartemquin documentary tracing Ali’s transformation from Cassius Clay to global icon and advocate for peace. From his Louisville roots to his exile after refusing military service during the Vietnam War, the film explores the intersections of race, religion, politics, and identity that shaped his life far beyond the boxing ring.

Free and open to all, the screening will take place at the Hi-Pointe Theatre, 1005 McCausland Ave, St. Louis, MO 63117.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kartemquin Films, the Film & Media Archive is partnering with the Hi-Pointe Theatre to highlight a diversity of films from the renowned documentary production house.
