ScholPub helps scholars navigate copyright and information policy to maximize the impact and accessibility of their work. ScholPub supports faculty, students, and staff through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and in-class sessions.

How We Can Help

• Publishing and open access | ScholPub helps authors navigate publishing options, open access, funder mandates, and WashU agreements that reduce or waive APCs.
• Copyright, licensing, and information policy | ScholPub answers rights questions on topics like fair use, permissions, Creative Commons licenses, and use of third-party content with AI tools.
• Institutional Repository | ScholPub collects and shares the academic and creative output of the university, including electronic theses and dissertations, white papers and reports, and special course projects. Explore collections and deposit your work in the WashU Scholarly Repository.
• Persistent identifiers | ScholPub provides DOIs, ARKs, ISBNs, ISSNs, and support for ORCID iDs to improve metadata and discoverability and connect researchers with their work.
• Digital publishing | ScholPub helps WashU students and faculty create and share books, journals, and web projects using Libraries-supported publishing platforms.
