America’s First Daughter

Join WashU Libraries Virtual Book Club for a special meeting for the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. America’s First Daughter by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie is a richly researched novel that draws from thousands of letters and original sources. It tells the fascinating, untold story of Thomas Jefferson’s eldest daughter, Martha “Patsy” Jefferson Randolph, a woman who kept the secrets of our most enigmatic founding father and shaped an American legacy.

Book club will begin with a discussion of WashU Libraries Thomas Jefferson collection and other founding documents, followed by a discussion of the book.
