Bio

Zach joined the Data Services team as the Data Curator & Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Librarian in 2023 and transitioned into the GIS & Data Analyst role in 2024. He assists students, staff, and faculty in answering GIS and data-related questions and curating and depositing datasets in the Washington University Research Depository.

Zach holds a B.S. in Geoscience with an emphasis in GIS from Murray State University and an M.A. in Geography with a concentration in Urban-Regional Analysis from UNC Charlotte. Before joining WashU, Zach was a transportation planner and analyst for the Charlotte Area Transit System and a social researcher for the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.
