A is for Abecedaria

Children often learn the alphabet through abecedaria, also known as alphabet or ABC books, which pair letters with pictures. The consistent phrasing creates rhythm and repetition, along with alliteration, to make it easy for children to read and remember. Some alphabet books are for adults, using the same structure as the children’s books, but often with humorous topics.

This exhibition was created as an abecedaria about miniature books, focusing mostly on different aspects of the physical book in miniature.
