314 Day Screening

To celebrate 314 Day, the WashU Film and Media Archive (FMA) is excited to showcase the only feature film by local independent producer Gregg Smith. Partially filmed in the very building that now houses FMA’s collections (back when it was Famous Barr in Clayton), Cover Story (1993) also features scenes shot at Vintage Vinyl in University City, Alice’s and Tucker’s Bar in the Central West End, and several downtown locations. Smith and his company, Kaleidoscope Productions, were best known for advertisements and industrial films. Cover Story was his effort to launch Hollywood style filmmaking right here in St. Louis.

Free and open to everyone. Reserve your seat to guarantee your ticket.
